    Hi Carol

What colors do you use in your kitchen? do you have a decor color you like? there are so many choices to make. You need to consider the color of your cabinets, counters, floors. https://www.thespruce.com/accent-walls-tips-essential-dos-donts-797861

What color are your appliances, dishes, glassware? What is your favorite color if you don't have a theme? Any color will mix with greige. Get a few sample swatches of color at the paint store like a strip of yellow or peaches or greens. Tape them to one wall for a few days to see what you like as the color looks different in daylight/nighttime. Those three colors are always a good bet for kitchens. Do a buttery shade of yellow, a medium peach or any shade of green and work other items into it for counter top accessories.

If you have a color you love, try it. Another idea to jazz up the one wall is to use the greige you have and add a good amount of white to it so it'll blend well and paint horizontal or vertical stripes of varying widths on your "accent" wall. You can use masking tape to create the various stripes and perhaps make one a striking color you love. Have fun with it. You could also paint geometric design(s) by simply taping off a few areas.

Hmmm, was thinking turquoise or teal, nothing to dramatic. Go to the paint store and get multiple chips of the same color. Also you could try getting a mini of the shade of paint you are considering and paint a portion of the wall to see if you like it. Best to you.

Hi, Lime green, Soft Olive green, Turquoise, Terracotta, all these colours blend with most others. Best wishes

  • Another idea is to do the accent wall in a darker gray and then the kitchen walls in white or a soft gray. Or the accent wall could be a stenciled wall.

Choose a color you really love since you'll be seeing it all the time. You can paint the accent wall a nice color and then add pops of color with accessories throughout the kitchen.

  • Since you have black white and gray and do not care for red or bright colors, choose something more subdued, olives, gray blues, yellows, golds, even a pale apricot or coral would look pretty. You have a very neutral color palate and if that is what you like, stay with it. I have a friend that has similar taste to Leanne Ford and Hildi Santos Tomas, white on white with natural elements tossed in for interest and texture. Baskets, cushions, pillows, throws, (even in a kitchen), large vase with pussywillow or eucalyptus stems, etc., and play off those colors.

Hi Carol, grey and beige? How about teal, it's a gorgeous accent and just the pop of color you want!

Hi Carol, first of all what color do you like. You can buy sample colors at the paint stores and you may want to try a patch on your wall. You can live with for a while and see what you like. Good luck

  • Hi Carol - We have a neutral yellow in our kitchen and our accent wall is Russian blue. It's a softer blue, and then we added pops of color with a red buffet and red tea kettle, sauce pans, etc. BUT... the most important question is what color/s speak to you? Look in some magazines and hit up some pinterest boards and find what color combo your eyes go to and those that you love. Hope this helps and good luck with your project! Hugs, Holly

You could do an accent wall with removable wallpaper to change the looks. In my small kitchen I painted my chairs blue to add a little color. https://thehoneycombhome.com/kitchen-makeover-reveal/

How about a pale yellow that goes great with gray

  • Annie Annie on Mar 27, 2020

Hi Carol how about getting just a small can of paint in a yellowy straw color and put it on part of the wall. You should get an idea of what that color would look like on the whole wall.

If you don't like it, pick another color; you've got lots to work with there. It will look lovely when its done
