How can I convert this piece into a hat hanger?

It looks like you should be able to bend each of those white pieces of wire up to each hold a hat.

Would you be able to hang multiple looks on each bar? Then you could hang the hats on the loop.

"S" hooks could be useful or Bulldog clips, One Cap on the top with others around the sides. Go for it!

Actually, with some minor bending, I think it would work for some of your hats. Here's a link for an actual hat hanger that's sold, which is similar to your rack.

Fold the back of the cap inside. Insert between the wire brackets and bend then ever so slightly to hold the cap. The brim will rest on the bracket.

I cannot tell from the photo but you may need something to go with it for 50 hats.

Looking at at it, there are 10 brackets, that would be 5/bracket. I would go with William's advice. It may be a bit easy to knock off the hats though.

You could bend those wires to accommodate your hats. Glue a clip down at the bottom of this holder. (down near the floor) 6 or 8 inches above the floor. Hang 1 hat from it, face down. Continue to add upside down hats on top of each other. When you reach the height of the first wire, bend it to resemble a hat and cover the hat under it. Use it to support the weight of the next hats. Now glue a clip again. And start over again until you reach the top. I recommend those clips with silver pieces that you squeeze to open them. Also use a strong glue like E6000 or Gorilla Glue. You will find them both at Wal Mart.

I would add it too a nice piece of wood and maybe bend the wire into more of a hook shape.

Had another thought, you could hang it horizontally on the wall (points up) add brackets or Eye Hooks either end to take a curtain pole or cane. Slip curtain rings on it and S Hooks and or Curtain Clips. Could also add shelf with hooks on edge too.

Otherwise store in Clear poly storage boxes......... Is these a collection or all in use?

Yet another idea. You could cut off 3/4 of the bottom wire to make a second row, or how about using Peg board! That's it now!!

That is a great idea. I think if you hang it on the wall you could fit hats between the white pieces. It will all depend on what kind of hats you have. It seems that baseball hats would fit in between them very well.

Take those black clips they use in offices that you squeeze then fold the two metel pieces back and clip them on the tip to hold the hats from falling off.If the clips won’t stay hot glue them in place.
