Hi Helen - The CDC recommends alcohol in hand sanitizer, however it's not always appropriate for some folks. This one is made without alcohol if that is an option for you. It's super easy and takes approximately 30 seconds to make. Hope this helps! Hugs, Holly
Hi Helen: You can make it using the above recipes, but keep in mind that if you use alcohol, and someone you know uses it and is taking antabuse, for alcoholism, it can make them really sick. Some people think that if you are taking that, you have to drink alcohol for it to make you really sick, but hand sanitizer, mouthwash, lotions, anything that contains alcohol, is bad. So, I just wanted you to be aware of that.
Hi Helen, all you need is rubbing alcohol (99 percent alcohol volume) aloe vera gel and an essential oil. Lavender, eucalyptus and tea tree oil are both good choices. Mix 1 part aloe vera and 2 parts rubbing alcohol and then add a few drops of your essential oil of choice. If you prefer your hand sanitizer thicker you can add more aloe vera gel.
