What is the best glue to adhere paper to walls &best top coat to seal?

I assume you are wanting to use wallpaper to adhere to your walls??? You don't have to seal it once it is put up. But here is info for you. If you are talking about just adding accent pieces of paper you would use mod podge it dries clear

Hello Amanda! Rather than adhering paper to your walls and then putting a clear coat on consider the future when you may want to redo the wall. It would be difficult to paint over everything and the only way you could have a smooth wall for paint would be to sand and possibly damage your wall. You could make a large frame--any size you want--a GIGANTIC frame--and adhere your paper to that and finish with a clear coat before you attached the frame to the wall. It would be so much easier to take down when you wanted a change with no damage to your wall.

This source states what the pro's use to hang wallpaper, although it has been many years since I have hung wallpaper, I relied on the pre-pasted kind and never had a bad experience:

I agree, you might be setting yourself for disaster by applying a coat coat to any wallpaper.

Amanda: Oh my! you are making a MAJOR commitment --- and it was be SO difficult to remove (I've been there)

Consider stenciling! ...= easily painted over!

If you buy a vinyl wallpaper you do not seal it, and it is washable.

If you are putting up wallpaper, you will use wallpaper paste if the paper is not pre-pasted. No sealer is needed.

I agree with the above comments. You should use wallpaper paste if you are putting wallpaper up. Be sure to paint the wall before you install the wallpaper. Doing this makes a world of difference if you ever want to change or remove it.

Wallpaper comes either pre glued, not glued or peel and stick. You don't want sealer on the paper, as it will prevent you from removing it without tons of work, might ruin your design or pattern on the paper. If you are worried about cleaning it, go with a vinyl coated wallpaper. As for paste, I personally like any pre mixed paste.

Wallpaper paste for wallpaper, No need to seal!! Any other paper - you might need something like Mod Podge to stick and seal............Hope that helps.

I am wanting to stick newspaper to one half wall in my laundry, i know this sounds crazy. What I am going to use are glossy pages a bit bigger than an A4 size. I have used Mod Podge a lot in the past for adhering both paper and fabric to furniture and have had lots of success. This is the first time i am attempting a wall. I have decided to use PVA wood glue to stick the paper and then will probably do some sort of polyurethane clear protective coat all over. I am not to concerned in removing, fingers crossed I don't regret saying that!

I remember how I had to glue the handicraft and it was very difficult. Because I had to glue a few cardboard blocks and paper base.. I tried to put a standard PVA on it first, but not only did it start to come off after 3-4 days, but the cardboard also went bad, completely soaked and that was it. Superglue also did not help much, because the cardboard is still behind and does not look good. So I have already decided to make a new handicraft and study the details just as to what glue to pick up. I found some information about the glue for cardboard
