Our downstairs WC has not been touched since we moved in. It has plain magnolia walls and one single tile above the sink. It was so boring but with other things to do, we currently don’t have the budget to do it properly so opted for a quick decor change and it’s changed the space completely. Now I love it!

Before

This was the space before. Plain magnolia walls. It felt cold when we went in it

Picture ledge

I bought 2 picture ledges and wanted to position them above the sink area

I chose to put the ledges upside down so there was more space for the pieces that I wanted to put on them as I wasn’t using any frames. Make sure to measure out the space you want first then put in your wall plugs. Then hang the shelf to the wall with the screws. Each shelf has 3 screws

When you screw it into the wall you can see the screw which is rather unsightly

Luckily, inside the pack with the screws and the wall plugs you get 3 stickers that are the same colour as the shelf

I placed these over each screw and it makes a huge difference!

This was the 2 shelves up above the sink area which I then wanted to style with artwork, basket for toilet roll and accessories

Finished

This was the finished space! I added a small mirror for when you’re washing your hands (incase u wanna check how you look. Ha) we also keep an extra set of toothbrushes in here to brush teeth after breakfast etc so the mirror is handy for that too. Hand wash on the shelf too as the sink is very small so it takes up a lot of space when sat on the side

I hung a large mirror on the opposite wall which makes the room feel a lot larger when you walk in and added a free standing toilet roll holder unit

I forgot to take a before if this corner but it was basically just a magnolia wall. I got a bargain unit from eBay and also the small towel rail was eBay too which fits perfectly above the small radiator. Filled the unit with accessories and hung prints in some hanging frames which I love! Then a small plant in a basket to add some colour and we were done

Your of the WC now it’s all finished. We love it
