This product is called Liquid wood by Retique it. I applied one coat if Light Liquid wood with a nice big synethetic brush. I blow dry for 15 minutes and then apply a second coat. While the second coat is still wet I then drag my wood grain tool in strips. I did not have to sand at all for this project. If there were some deep scratches you can lightly sand those spots, then you can apply Liquid wood to cover the imperfections and create a new surface made of 66% recycled liquid wood. I then blow dry the 2nd coat and 20 minutes later I applied Dark walnut oil based stain by Varathane. This stain covers in one coat and dries in one hour. I then seal with water based Polycrylic by Retique it. You can purchase all the items listed here ( retique.com/tommy ) Not only can you redo your kitchen table without having to sand, but you can create wood grain effects on formica, plastic, metal, wood. There is also an exterior Liquid wood.
