Purchased some plants , got a new outdoor rug and spruced up the area to step into Spring! I needed to power wash the sidewalk but that will have to be for another day .

I reported ferns, added furniture and flowers

All of this was on sale so it didn’t cost much! It’s amazing what you can do with what you already have the Bougainville does well in high light areas , and the pop of color is perfect against the blue rug . The asparagus ferns are ideal for me , particularly because I can’t kill them! The lime tree will be so nice to have fresh fruit once they bloom.

Before

Here is a before of the space . I started off with an indoor outdoor rug to set the area .

My little one helped me

We put out fresh flowers , repotted my ferns , and hung new Bougainville . I hope you like it !

Filler , thriller , and spiller

In this pot I did some monkey grass , creeping Jew , and geranium . Also I put some ivy that over time will spill out and create visual interest . The purple foliage is purple in the shade , and green in full sunlight . I love the contrast of colors !
