So with all the kids home, we are all looking for crafts that are kid friendly. I ordered these fun supplies that arrived two days ago so that my daughter and I could do some fun easy crafts for the Easter holiday. "Chalk Couture Boutique with Kathi Riddle" has a great Facebook page with a large variety of crafts and ideas. So today I’ll show how we easily made these white wooden eggs.

What you need:

egg patterns: B201116

washable paste: teal, morning sky, daffodil, peony

fuzzing cloth

appliqués

egg cutouts: S201101

squeegee

color trays

stirring sticks

We began with the wood cutouts and the egg patter stencil

Open and cut apart your stencil

Peel the pattern off that you’d like to start with

Because it’s sticky press on the fuzzing cloth

You can remove the stencil from the cloth... this helps to make your stencil less sticky so it will not stretch and will be easier to remove from the eggs later.

Position your stencil on the egg where you’d like it

Next, open your paste and put it in your color tray.

Use your stirring stick to mix your paste.

Next, use your mini squeegee to apply the the color you like... in my case it’s teal. Drag over the spot you want that color.

Then, take the squeegee and remove any excess paint.

Now apply your other colors if desired.

When done, simply peel and check out your beautiful creation!

Just take the screen stencil and put in a water bath or you can rinse them in the sink.

Then simply clean with the chalk couture sponge... once they are rinsed place them on the microfiber side of the cloth (opposite side on the fuzzing cloth) to dry. It's really nice because you can use the designs over and over.

Look how good my daughter's egg came out! She found it easy and rewarding because it looks so professional - almost store bought.

Repeat the steps for the other two eggs using different patterns.

Now it’s ready to use for Easter! This took about 30 mins and is all washable so no worries about a mess. This is a great project for kids and adults! You need to check out Chalk Monster Boutique by Kathi Riddle on Facebook or Instagram for great products and endless ideas.
