You can usually get them at a hardware or home improvement store. They are also available at Walmart.

Check out Shawn Woods on YouTube. He reviews rat/mouse traps for the most effective.
What do you want to do with them? They sell them at hardware stores.
What is the question you have about rat traps, Justin? They have them at any hardware store.
Glue traps work great they have them for rats bate the traps with peanut butter but use rubber gloves if they smell your cent on them they will not go on them .
I prefer snap traps for rats and mice. You can use glue as others have mentioned, but it's kind of a gruesome death. The snap traps mean nearly instantaneous death if you set them up correctly.

cheaper to buy them than make them to be honest - they are inexpensive and at Home Depot we found several sizes since we had some larger rats
We used Tom Kat rat poison and never saw them again.
