Here it is - I’m sure you walked right passed it in the store 😊
Dollar Store Easter Basket Redo
I’m not a fan of all the Dollar Store tinsel decoration but you can upscale them in so many ways. Today I’ll take a dollar store basket and show you how cute it can become for just a few extra bucks.
Begin by removing all the tinsel. It comes off very easily as it’s just wrapped around it.
Now that it’s off I see there is no bottom so I will make one. This way, if we fill it, nothing will come out of the bottom.
Set the basket on card stock paper and trace the shape.
Now cut it out with scissors.
Hot glue the card to the bottom of the basket
Now, grab your twine. This is sold in a 3 pack at the Dollar Store. You can never have too much twine 😂
Just wrap the whole basket with the twine making sure it's nice and straight.
Now we will use moss that you can also purchase at dollar store.
Glue the moss around the top edge of the basket.
Next, I used buffalo check ribbon to wrap around the basket handle.
Look how cute!
Then I grabbed a few things to fill and decorate the basket with.
I bought all of these things from the Dollar Store too.
I took a wooden bunny and covered it with fabric using some modge podge to stick it down. I then cut around the excess with scissors.
This will look great filled with greens and carrots. It can be a great Easter display for any room.
Here I've added some greenery I cut and just filled the basket with.
I love how easy it is to turn something so tacky to something so chic. What do you think? For a few bucks I have this great Vignette for my holiday decor. See more at
