How can I polish acrylic eyes?

I have some outdoor frogs that have acrylic or plastic eyes - does. They were badly weathered, so I brought them inside and repainted them, but the eyes have also dulled on them. Does anyone know of anything that would polish up the eyes and make them shine again? Thank you!

You could try a bit of poly on the eyes. If you happen to have any marine spar for exterior use that would be the best. You could cover the whole frog with the marine spar. It is made for outside and moist conditions.

Hi! Try clear fingernail polish. It is fairly durable and easy to apply. Or a glossy sealer if you have one.

There is a product made for auto headlights that have become dull and cloudy to make them clear again. I wonder if it would work for your frog's eyes? I'm sorry, I don't recall the name of the product. I'm sure the staff at an auto parts store or the automobile service center at Walmart could help you find it.

    Love your frogs! Good luck!

Hello! I would also suggest gloss clear coat nail polish, the application would be easy with the polishes small brush.

If you had 2 part epoxy thats the ultimate gloss I saw that done for a Halloween eyeball, but its costly unless you already have some on hand.

A few coats of clear nail polish should work. A dab of white toothpaste on a damp tooth brush and gently brush. Make sure it foams up. Wipe off and use the nail polish to seal them. Poly will flake off or crack/spiderweb over time.

I cleaned mine with Dawn and a scrubbie then put Top Coat nail polish on the eyes. Later I touched up my statutes and I sprayed the entire thing with Laquer. That shined everything up and after a year it still looks good.
