I am checking here the process of installation is this correct
Lots of videos here
What you might want to do is get a couple of contractors out (if you can) and ask them about the process. You'll learn more and get a sense for how the process works, and how much it would be for someone else to install it. You might still want to do it yourself, but you can get some information on the steps.

The pump itself or a pit and pump? I’d leave the pit to the pros but I know my parents regularly had to change their pump out. The directions should come with the pump.
