How to decorate my 36" round wooden table?
I have a 36" wooden table and want to use a stencil to decorate the top. I had come across an ad (a while ago) and took notes of a Mandala Stencil, and a Medallion Style selling for $37.95. The directions stated to use water based Chalk Paint and a 2" or 4" Foam roller, then to distress the top with #220 sandpaper and seal using a Satin Finish General Finishes. I viewed the patterns of stencils, but did not recognize the pattern I had been interested in. Are there more designs available?

Hi Francene, I have seen many mandala stencils at Joanne Fabrics, Hobby Lobby, Michaels. Right now you might want to check online at all those stores including amazon. If you have a specific mandala image in mind, you might be able to find something close at one of those stores because mandalas are super trendy right now. You could probably use any paint.....but if you are going to distress with any paint make sure you LIGHTLY distress using 220. You also don't necessarily need a foam roller to stencil. You can use a sponge and make sure you don't put too much paint on it. Make sure the sponge is a little on the dry side so you don't get bleed through. Then do layers of the paint on the dry sponge like 3 times. This will ensure you your edges of the stencil will come out clean. General finishes is a great sealer! Good luck on your project!
Check Micheal's and Hobby Lobby for more options. You can also make your own if you have any artistic abilities.
If you do an image search for mandala stencils on Google you may find the one you are looking for.

There are tons of sources. Even custom! Try searching Etsy. :)
There are loads of stencils available online. It could be the one you saw is no longer made. You don’t necessarily have to use chalk paint either, it’s all in the prep and sealing, the paint doesn’t matter.
