Can I paint my thermoplastic cupboards?

Yo! I painted mine! THEY ARE DOING GREAT! ...clean well, prime with Kils, then two coats of GOOD latex paint! = Win. (see pic)

Hi Yo. You can paint over thermofoil, provided it isn't peeling. Call your local paint store and ask them what the correct primer is, then apply it and a couple coats of the finish paint. Use a foam roller.

Yes, you can. Make any repairs first. Decide if you want different hardware so that you aren't filling in old holes after painting. Seal with a product like Kilz after getting any grease or grime off with a good cleaner like Krudkutter. Then paint.

When I paint over that type I wash down with TSP then Prime and paint with oil based paints. No top coat or sealer needed.

You would need to use (ESP) Easy Surface Preparation first! This is a sort of paintable undercoat to allow the paint to adhere to the plastic. Then paint as usual. Hope that helps.........
