Making your own cleaning wipes can help you save money — and a trip to the store!

Learn how to make homemade cleaning wipes that are great for quick clean-ups in the kitchen or anywhere around the house.

DIY Cleaning Wipes Supplies

Start by gathering all the necessary supplies.

Prepare Container

If you want to paint your container (totally optional) go ahead and give the outside a coat or two of spray paint. Leave the inside unpainted.

Using scissors, cut a small slit or hole in the center of the lid. This will allow you to pull wipes out through the hole without opening the container.

Cut Paper Towels

Then, use a serrated bread knife to cut your roll of paper towels in half. Place half the roll into the coffee container.

You can use the other half in the kitchen or save them for the next time you make wipes.

Mix Cleaning Solution

In a large bowl, combine water, vinegar, dish soap, lavender essential oil, and the juice from your lemon. Mix it together.

Then pour the mixture into the container, right over the paper towels.

Remove the cardboard tube from the center of the roll. The tube should be well saturated and easy to pull out.

Ready to Use

Finally, pull a paper towel up through the center of the roll and thread it through the hole in the lid.

You are now ready to use your homemade wipes!
