DIY Drapery Wand

You know when you're staying at hotel and there's this fancy wand thing to close the curtains? Turns out the internet sells those for $10-$15 a piece. Considering I made six of them for less than $5, I consider this a total ripoff.

All it took was some half inch dowel rods and a few screw eyes.

I started by drilling a hole into the end of each dowel rod.

Then I added a screw eye.

I repeated this for all the dowel rods, and then hung them on the curtain rings. My curtain rings open, but if yours don't, you could either use cup hooks instead of screw eyes, or pull the screw eyes open a little bit with pliers.

It's the epitome of a five minute craft, and is a way cheaper option than paying $15 for a drapery wand from the internet.

This is genius. It's one of those "why didn't I think of that". This would even work on most mini blinds when the rod or hook end breaks. Great share
