Hi Lori: I've made a lot of these. What I do is get a piece of material 9 x 12. Fold it, front sides together to make it 9 x 6. You can use elastic or bias binding (sew up the long sides) to make the ties. Here is a site that is better than I could explain:) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_6UcIDaxfqk I ran out of thin elastic, so what I did was use the thicker elastic for the bottom - to go around the head - 12 inches long, and bias binding to tie behind the head on the upper portion, 17 inches. They are really easy to make. Good luck
