How do you make a shelf out of old leather suitcase??

I think you could use L shaped brackets. Attach one part of the L to the wall and the other part to the underside of the suitcase. You may need to play with where it’s attached to ensure you can open it.

I love this idea. I've never done it, but if you didn't mind the brackets showing, you could mount it on brackets like how I mounted this shelf. If you cut a piece of plywood for inside the suitcase and screw through it into the brackets holding it, I'd think it would be quite stable.
