Say Thank You With a Stool Sample

In these crazy, upside down times our true heroes are the people who work tirelessly to treat and care for all those who have been affected by COVID-19. Our nurses, doctors and care givers who put themselves at risk everyday so we can be okay. Besides staying at home and washing my hands like a maniac, the only other thing I can do to help, is come up with wacky ideas to say THANK YOU for all they're doing for us. Wacky ideas like making this little stool sample.

It’s cute, crazy and will hopefully put a smile on someone's face.

If you'd like to make one too, all you need is:

Cut the branch into a ½” slice. Try to make the cut as straight as possible. These stools aren’t meant to be wobbly icon

If you're using twigs for the legs break them into three equal pieces. I choose to use jewelry wire to make my legs.

Drill three small, evenly spaced holes in the wood slice you cut earlier and glue the legs in.

If you like you can add a book or a pair of reading glasses on top of the stool sample. (You can get the tutorial for both here icon A Crafty Mix)

Place the stool sample inside the glass jar and add a pretty label.

I'd love to know what you think of the idea. Would it put a smile on your face? And how are you coping with what's happening right now?

Sending love as always.

Why is it that a stool sample is funny but a wound culture or nares swab

or sputum sample isnt? Our patients deserve better than care takers amused by toilet humor.
