I’ve had a few cross-cuts or “cookies” laying around in the garage and finally put a few to use.

Finding the right size for the project!

For this 22” live edge mirror, I wanted at least a 36” cookie.

Adding leather

I laid the mirror where it looked centered, then I tape my leather strip so I can pre-drill and add the fancy hardware I got to cover the screws.

Fancy hardware 😜

These covers work perfect to hide the screws and add some design element.

Mirror placement

Once I can see where the center of the leather strap is, I can measure for the mirror hardware. You could also use adhesive to put the mirror on but I’m shipping this one so I’ll ship the mirror separate.

Test Run

I didn’t have a place to hang it quite yet so I stood it up to see how it looked before sanding and finishing.

Hang it

Now this isn’t the same one I was working on because like I said, that one is getting shipped out but I hung this one in our house before it ended up as a bathroom mirror. Love the leather detail and having more uses for these cookies🙌🏼⚒
