How do I remove wooden handle from glass door?
I have a mid-century buffet with two glass sliding doors, during a move one of the glass doors broke but I cannot remove the wooden handle (it's just glued on) and put it onto to the replacement glass??
Someone suggested heating it up? Or acetone?
Thank you!!

If all else fails, paint thinner or kerosene might dissolve the glue. I wish you luck in removing.
Great idea! I have mineral spirits. WD 40 is out there soaking in it now.
Thank you!!
It may not be glue but epoxy holding it on. If so you could peek at this for suggestions. https://www.bobvila.com/articles/how-to-remove-epoxy/
Paint thinner might help! :)
More likely epoxy so solvents, WD40, mineral spirits may not work. Heating up with a blow dryer or heat gun should work.
heating up may help but I think that handle is beautiful ! very rare on the glass ... I would just decorate it and have it a nice jewel on the glass
You could always call a glass shop in the area and see what they suggest.
Hello,
Yes, I would try the heat of a hair drier on the underside of the glass to try and soften it up enough to move it! Good luck!
