- To get it just about the right ratio, add 1/4 cup of aloe vera and just under 1/2 cup of alcohol. You need a little more aloe vera to balance it out, but not so much that it throws off the 2:1 ratio.
- As long as you use at least 60% alcohol it'll work
- 60% alcohol, 40% aloe vera gel and any essential oils you would like for smell

Many studies have found that sanitizers with an alcohol concentration between 60–95% are more effective at killing germs than those with a lower alcohol concentration or non-alcohol-based hand sanitizers. Hand sanitizers without 60-95% alcohol 1) may not work equally well for many types of germs; and 2) merely reduce the growth of germs rather than kill them outright.
recipe -
1/3 cup aloe vera gel (available at most drugstores)
2/3 cup 99% rubbing alcohol (isopropyl alcohol)
Container with watertight lid, Small funnel (optional), Essential oils (optional)
Note:If you can't find 99% rubbing alcohol, you may need to adjust the ratio above to make sure the mixture contains at least 60 percent alcohol.
Follow These Steps:
1. Stir together the aloe vera gel and rubbing alcohol until fully incorporated.
2.If you'd like, you can add a couple drops of essential oil, such as lavender
