What accent color should I use for the crocodile border on this desk ?

I have a desk that is painted black and gold knobs. The crocodile texture on top will be sanded down slightly and painted. I am at a loss as to what color.
Hi Stacy, gold would have it match with the knobs. I kind of link the silver it is :)
I love the way cream looks with gold.
I would add the same gold as the knobs.
Go with the gold to match the knobs.
I like the gold too, but if you want contrast try a faux croc leather look.
I would go with gold, then wipe off the top portion so only the gold in the crevices show.
