You can change the battery in these. I have lights that look like this. It's just one battery and that new battery last about a year.

Hello. I have removed my batteries and replaced them with replacement solar batteries from Amazon.

Open your solar light battery door and view to make sure theres no Leakages corrosion or other damages - proceed to check battery type and replace if everything looks good.

The batteries usually last a year or two. Make sure you get rechargeable batteries. The solar panel charges the batteries in daylight/sunlight. Regular batteries cannot be recharged.

Ususally if they are more expensive they will last longer. Try one or two larger ones rather than a bunch of small ones?

I bought some higher quality ones from Sam's in 2018 and they are still working great. The less expensive ones rarely made it through 1 year.

It might be the solar batteries. See if you can open them up, locate the battery, and see if you can find a replacement. I agree, these don’t ever seem to last long.

Hi ! Try replacing the batteries . Use ones that are meant to be used for solar lights you can find them on Amazon for a good price . Also remember, it is important to replace the batteries in the morning , on a sunny day and place the lights in a sunny spot ( not necessarily where you plan on keeping them ! ) for at least 8 hours before using them ! Then you can move them to another place/spot .

Many people don't realize the solar lights also have batteries that need to be replaced. Time flies and before you realize a year or more has gone by and the battery actually needs replaced. If yu are thoroughly frustrated you can have low voltage night lighting done once and you've got outdoor lighting for years! Sometimes you're way ahead to go the more epensive route in the first place.

Depends where you are, geographically. The further north you are the weaker the sun especially after October. There isn’t enough sunbeam strength to charge them. You should bag them in the winter, this way they won’t keep attempting a charge which lessens their life span.

Also, the design of the bulbs in your picture is lousy for recharging. Those have the solar panel inside under cracked glass. The solar panel should be outside the fixture with unobstructed exposure to the sun. Also shady areas are deal killers too.

Hi Tonia, I live in Canada, I turn off the solar lights and pack them away in the basement for the winter, we don't get enough good sun to charge them in the winter, this can drain them faster, which results in the battery life reducing, pack them away in a warm place for the winter and replace them in the yard for the summer

Hi Tonia, the batteries can be replaced, but to avoid them running down in my yard, I often move them around or swap locations from less sunny to more sunny areas, this keeps them charging better.
