I often buy beautiful little area rugs (oriental style) for the bathroom instead of a bath mat. It gives the bathroom more style. Just don't do what they used to do in the 70's and wall to wall carpet the entire bathroom. ha.

You can use any style rug in a bath room. Best to stay away from wool and silk if you use it to step on from a bath or shower. I usually get my rugs from Wayfair.

I shop at Home Goods, TJ Maxx and Marshalls for great prices on bathroom rugs- they have every style, shape and color imaginable. Also the Good Housekeeping brand of rugs at Walmart are nice too

If the shaggy part is what is bothering you, I'm wondering if you could use hair clippers to cut off some of the fiber to make it shorter?
