Eucalyptus Hanging
I love natural decor. Florals, wood and earthy tones are spread throughout my home. Greenery does so much for a space and I am a firm believer that real, faux and dried plants can achieve a desired effect.
After my last shopping trip to the grocery store, I brought home some of my favorite greenery bouquets of eucalyptus. Eucalyptus branches are hearty and last a long time. So they're not only great as decor but great on the budget.
Instead of putting them into a vase I decided to use these branches in a different way and wasn't disappointed with the results!
For this project I used 4 inexpensive materials:
-eucalyptus bouquet
-scissors
-jute cord
-wood dowel
With my bundle of eucalyptus in hand I went to my kitchen table a.k.a. my craft space. With scissors I cut the rubber band at the base of the bouquet and spread out the branches. I chose the best 4 branches to use for my projects and set the rest aside.
I then laid down a wood dowel 2.5 feet long and placed each of the branches on the dowel, spacing them equally.
With some natural jute cord on hand from another project I thought to use it to tie the eucalyptus branches. I tied each branch onto the wood dowel, equally spaced. Then tied string to each end of the dowel in order to hang it on the wall.
All that was left to do was hang it on the wall! I placed this hanging above my couch and loved the boho and natural look of the decor.
That's it! This is such a simple DIY project and yields sophisticated and simple results.

Be sure to NOT use dried plants treated with glyceryn as they will absorb moisture and color will seep onto your wall, or drip. Fresh items will eventually fade, but just change them out.
