After cleaning I found that applying car wax it helpful. The water just beads up and falls away. But it no an easy job. For me the easiest thing to do is get into the tub and wax from there. Doesn't matter that I am sitting on the bottom since you don't want to wax the bottom anyway.

I scrub with a scrubber brush and bleach cleaner.
I use the blue trigger spray Lysol soap scum cleaner and a spin scrubber.
