Hi Margaret, I do this for my Christmas labels. It is so much easier than you think and you only need the native MacBook "NUMBERS". I have tried AVERY templates before and they never work out for me, so I make my own in numbers.

Basically, you get a set of labels. You want an Avery size that is always there on the shelf. I use AVERY 18660 and 1"x2 5/8" ...this is the size of how large each label box is. So then you go to NUMBERS and set up a table with the amount of labels across(+space) that is on the paper and how many down. So my labels are 3 across and 10 down.

But here is the key.....don't forget about the space and margins in between. So your table should actually be 5 across(3 labels+2tiny space columns) and 10 down. Set each box size to be the label size in inches. So 2 and 5/8 would be set to 2.625. Measure the 2 space columns in between the labels and size them appropriately in numbers as well.

print it out on a regular piece of paper, and see if the table content matches up with your label page. You can put the label page right in front of it stacked and put it up to the light to see.

It probably won't match up right off the bat, so you will have to set up your margin sizes to be less. Keep playing with it and see if the labels can match up to your sticker Avery label page. Once you get it to work

PRINT OUT ON THE GOOD LABEL PAGE. Hope this helps.

Should have come with pre installed Office software. You can download free label software. I use Avery Label Maker.

  • Usually there are directions on the back of the label packaging. Here is some instructions from Avery: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VqH3NU4OQBc

Have you ever used Canva? They have templates on there where you can create labels. But what kind of labels are you looking for? Canva is great for making jar labels. If you are looking for address labels, use pages, the mac word processor. If you have labels to print on, look up the # on the labels and you can sometimes find free templates for them too.
