2 white plastic garden chairs - any ideas?
I have two white garden plastic chairs that keep holding water at rear, so I drilled holes to help[ as drainage. Doesn't work as water still gathers, so I thought I would recycle them - Any ideas?
Cut out circle in center place pot of lovely flowers and or vines that have some drape. Put them anywhere in yard you would like the eye to be drawn to. Maybe spray painted with crylon for plastic. Probably didn't spell that right. But it will get you there.
It's Krylon brand spray paint.
This is an cute interesting poolside idea:

Keep in mind that if you do cut off any portion of the plastic chair, such as the legs, you will need to sand down the raw edges. This rough plastic can be unbelievable sharp, and can easily cut into skin like a knife.
Cut off the plastic legs and use the seats, arms, and backs as seats for a see-saw. Attach them to the opposite ends of the board.

Maybe to hold a plant or pot?
Hey John: Try a few more, larger holes :) Or, make a couple of slices in the back middle of the seats so that the water will run out of those. Good luck
If you turn them upside down when you're not using them, they should drain and avoid holding water. Then you can just turn them rightside up when you want to use them and upside down when you're not using them.
I would find the exact spot where water is gathering and try drilling again. You could also buy outdoor cushions to give them some color and cover the holes! I like the idea of storing them upside down so water won't gather (or keep cushions wet for long).
Decided to drill more Larger holes in back of seats and add a small plastic table in between. They now sit in front of my Lounge window, out front of my house facing the sea. I now have envious passers by!
Remember you can spray paint those white chairs to make them any color available in the paints available for plastic.
Hi,
I had this problem and did the same. I then drilled bigger holes in them and they are now fine! Otherwise I had considered cutting the bottom out of them to make Garden Plant Pot Containers. ( If I get fed up with them I will do that and they can sit either side of my Front door, full of flowers)
