I tape around the windows on the wall and tape on top of the glass. I know it is a pain but prepping is the key to a good paint job.
I always tape off the glass, but you can buy a masking liquid. Here's an article about it:

I love a paint brush, link below, to paint around windows and doors. I don't use tape but just this brush. Fill with a bit of paint and press excess out. Then turn the brush on it's edge and slowly paint up to the side of the window trim.

A narrow angled brush, painter's tape and a damp rag can keep the paint neat and where you want it, even for messy painter like me! Good luck and stay safe!
A narrow angle brush is the best for good results. Practice will help. I don't use tape, I think it's more trouble than it's worth. Any paint that gets on glass is easily removed with a razor blade scraper very quickly.

I almost always tape off my projects, and when I don't I regret it! Lol! I LOVE 3Ms painter's tape with plastic attached! It is a life saver and quick to tape off a large area! Worst case scenario though, windows are easy to scrap paint off of if you don't want to tape the window off! Good luck with your window painting!
Hello Tommy,
Painters masking tape and a cutting in brush should do the trick. Oh, I forgot to say a steady hand. Once you get the hang of it - it's easy!
