We put black tile that looked like marble around our fireplace. So I would say go with something that fits your style. To save money, there are multiple tile options.
Navy blue looks fabulous on brick fireplaces
Hey LeoD, the pattern is what matters the most when it comes to selecting tiles for a fireplace. The brick pattern is the most common and loved one. The pebble one will look as elegant as the linear one. It completely depends on the theme of your house. If your house has an antique theme, you can opt for the pebble rock tiles, if it has a modern look, with sophisticated furniture around in the living room - where the fireplace is, then you can choose the linear or teardrop pattern as well.
