    Yes you can!

  • Yes, they'll both dry clear, so I think you'll be fine.

Hi Jeanette: You sure can, just don't use a cheap glue.

Hello. Not too sure about the floor glue project that you are speaking about. But there are certainly wonderful floor reno projects here to view.

This is a general Q&A posting area, the person who's project you're asking about would likely be unaware of your question about their project post. To get an answer about a specific post, ask the question directly below the project that will likely get you a reply from the Hometalk poster.

If you ever want to go back to see a particular project, just click on the little blue house at the top of this page, left-hand corner. If you can't find a particular project, you can use the search bar. Also, please consider checking out "Explore Projects" for even more additional ideas.

    Hope this helps.

Hi Jeanette. I believe clear glue might be even better than white glue. The only draw back I could possibly think of is that you may not know when the clear glue is dry. Be sure to allow each coat to dry before adding the next coat. Maybe you should practice first. A corner in the closet would be a great place to practice. Good luck Jeanette. Stay healthy and well.

    Hello Jeanette,

I can't really say, as I have never done that! My first thought is maybe the cost would be higher ?

Both white glue and clear glue dry clear, if this were my project, I would try this in an unnoticeable area to make sure it works. Be sure each layer is completely dry before you apply the next.

I haven't done this, but I would assume that the clear glue would be just fine.

Clear glue should work just fine mixed with water just like using the white glue which dries clear.

I think both work as white glue dries clear.

Ii don't see why not if it's a water based glue. Stay safe!
