Prep Your Wood Board!

First, you will want to cut the wood to the size you want for the project, for this calendar I went with a fairly large board at 9" x12" so I added a dowel to the back to add additional stabilization.

Paint, stain, decoupage really anything you want to your board. For this one, I stained my wood board (Minwax -Jacobean). Figure out where you want the calendar card to go and attach your clip to the board. Don't want to make a calendar? This project also make a great customizable picture frame!

Add Flowers and Greenery!

Now we get to the fun part.....add your sola wood flowers! Be creative and play around with the placement of the flowers. For this project, we framed opposite corners. I used hot glue to attach the flowers and greenery to the board.

You Can Add Pictures Instead of a Calendar!

This is one of these projects that honestly you can go as simplistic or as complex as you want. And if you don't want it to be a calendar, it also makes a great picture holder!

I painted this shiplap board in chalkboard paint (2 coats and let fully cure for 24 hours before using chalk for your lettering!), glued on clothespin, made a mini bouquet with sola wood flowers which I then glued onto the board and voila! A fun picture holder that you can easily change the message and photos icon

If you make either a calendar or photo holder, please show us your work in the comments!
