    Hi Marge

I had to laugh, you had google cleaning instead of good cleaning. lol here is some info for you. I will say that I have used a can of compressed air to clean off the dust but if it is deep into the grooves of the cut glass you can use a soft toothbrush slightly damp with a mixture of white vinegar and warm water ( I buy soft toothbrushes at the dollar store or walmart in packs of 5-10 for $1 just for cleaning projects.) On a sunny day take the lamps outside where you can see it better and clean them.

LOL A Goggle cleaning might be difficult but a good cleaning much easier.

If just use window cleaner and a microfiber cloth. I have found that using black and white news papers to dry them to be cheap and effective since they don't leave streaks.

Rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball will get a lot of the dirt off. Maybe even an old toothbrush dipped in the rubbing alcohol to get into the grooves. Another idea is a old toothbrush dipped in warm soapy dishwater and then dry.

Hi Marge, here are a few links that may help you out, I would use an old soft toothbrush, some glass cleaner like windex, dip the brush in the windex and gently scrub into all the lines and crevices, use a cup of warm water and rinse it with a microfiber rag, wiping rinsing rag, wiping until all reside is removed, then dry with a clean microfiber cloth, it should look sparly by the time you are done.

You can try a damp q-tip as well if there are some deep groves in the cut glass.

I have glass lamps. I use 50% rubbing alcohol to 50% water and one or 2 drops of Dawn in a spray bottle. I spray the glass and clean off with a dry microfiber cloth.

  • I'd use windex on a soft towels and spray on the towel first. Then for the lamp shade, use a lint remover roller.

I use Spray way glass cleaner. The best in the world. If needing to clean inside, you'll Have to take the lamp apart or take it to a lamp repair shop - they do that.

I just use a damp rag to wipe down all the large glass demijohns that I have! If I keep up with my dusting though, I can just use my swiffer dusters and not have an issue at all with them looking great! So for your lamp, you can do the same on the glass part, just wipe it with a wet paper towel, or you can spray it with a little vinegar water if you are worried about streaks! Hope this helps!

Put it on a thick towel unplugged of course take a toothbrush and clean with a bleach cleaner then clean off with a wash cloth any run off will go on the towel not on the electric wires

If you can remove them, put them in the dishwasher. If not, then hit with canned air to remove all the dust. Next, wipe down with soapy warm water and let air dry.
