Thinking about the summer days and how to create that perfect and relaxing space to enjoy the outdoors. I started to decorate my outdoor living space and I was in need of a unique centerpiece. So I create this flower caddy inspired planter centerpiece.💕

Planter centerpiece

This planter centerpiece is the perfect size for my coffee table.

Wood pieces

-A piece of 18” long x 5” wide

-Two pieces of 1x2 cut at 18” each

-Two 1x4 cut at 5” each

-Two 1x4 cut at 8”

-A 15 1/2 dowel

Miter saw

This is one of the best tool my husband own. It will make this project really easy. I also use a hand saw to cut the board.

Putting the pieces together

I use wood glue to put the pieces together and it was strong in of for my planter. Then I use a little bit of wood filler for the corners. When the filler was dry I lightly sanded.

Ready to paint

I wait around 40 minutes and it was ready to paint.

Wood stain

I use Varathane in special walnut to stain the planter.

Ready

I put two coats of the stain.

Milk paint

I lightly brush some white milk paint to add some distressed look.

Distressed look

I love the distressed look, it was really simple and add a unique look to my planter.

Ready to style

Now that my centerpiece is ready I gather some succulents, candles and moss to decorate my planter.

Final results

Is finish and love it. I can add more plants or put some flowers or just put candles, the possibilities are endless.
