I found a very cute bicycle wine rack (see pic) at Goodwill and want to use it on my front stoop/covered portico area. I have not been able engage my imagination to come up with an idea for it. All suggestions are welcome please!

Bicycle wine rack.....what should it become?

Take a look through here and see if anything inspires you, have seen several possibilities:

That's adorable! I'm wondering if you could get PVC pipe and have it cut to length to fit those holes then you could spray paint them black. You could plant succulents etc to come spilling out of either side of the pipe and even cut holes in the PVC for plants to come out of the length of it too.

    Potted plants.

You could make a planter that would fit inside the metal designs. It would really stand out if you painted it a nice bright color that would contrast with the wine rack itself.

Hello. I would consider trying to find the correct size PVC pipes for the wine bottle holes and then place plants inside the PVC pipes -drilling out some holes for watering might be necessary.

Plants like sedum or other trailing plants might be the perfect choice depending upon what you’re planting zone requires. Painting the PVC pipes with plastic friendly spray paints might marry it to your piece together having both parts painted the same color

What about filling the circles with tetra cotta pots with flowers spilling out of them. :)

Put boards thru the rings as shelves and place potted plants on the shelves.

  • In keeping with the bicycle theme, I'd add a bicycle basket to the handle bars and have plants potted and trailing out over. Pops of color added here and there like the seat and handle bars. Maybe a bright bicycle flag on the back on those flexible poles.?

What a great find! I'd paint the bike in various "happy" colors, perhaps each smaller circle within the larger one a variety of colors. I like the idea of adding a basket of flowers to the handlebars. Other great suggestions and succulents might work well for horizontal pots.

That would be such a cool plant stand. Maybe even a place to keep umbrellas?

If you have an outdated or old exterior light fixture, remove the housing, then mount this bicycle on the wall overtop of the electrical neck portion and bulb, for a 'new' light fixture. It would certainly be a conversation piece!

      You're welcome.

Yes, I guess it is an 'unusual' idea, but you were asking for your imagination to be sparked.......

I suppose after seeing this project in the picture below, anything might be possible ?.........

I would paint it a bright color then drop a planter into the center with a large flowering plant.

Hello, you can use it to hold a hanging plant, place the pot on the seat, you may have to add something to level it, and trail down to then plant. You could even have the vines go through the big front wheel and wrap around.

Set amongst pot plants - maybe elevate it!
