What type of adhesive to use???
I am gluing down lots of tiny crushed pebbles onto mdf board. (Think aquarium pebbles.) What type of adhesive would be best? I tried E6000 and consistency was not quite right to spread and still have enough to “grab“ the pebbles. I’m using Elmers extra strong, but still not quite right. I could continue with this, but it’s just slow going and have to go over some spots to get coverage. If I do this, is there another spray type adhesive or sealer or something that I can use to coat it when I’m done to keep the small pieces from falling off?
You might try an epoxy resin that you pour over the pebbles and it will also be sealed.
You can make sides with tape or scrap pieces of wood.
I'm in agreement with Kem, a epoxy pour would be your best bet.
Try PowerGrab by Loctite. It has a slow setting time but holds really well for a long time, even if it gets wet.
Yes, we've used it to hold landscape blocks together and put tile up around a garden tub where the wall was made of wood. Plus a ton of other things. Very versatile.
How is the piece of mdf board going to be use after you get the pebbles glued on? Is it going to be hung on a wall, flat on a tabletop, etc. ?
What are the dimensions of the piece of mdf board you are using?
Spray adhesive!
