Spend Hours of Fun With This DIY Reversible Puzzle and Game Board!

I had this little metal framed table that happened to be the perfect puzzle board height! So I decided to use it as the base.

However for this project, you do not need a special table base... although it sure comes in handy!

Next up, I painted a plain 24" x 36" cork bulletin board in Ash by Fusion Mineral Paint. I wanted my puzzle image to have absolutely no competition and look sharp as I built it!

I also added a light coat of Fusion's Beeswax to create a little bit of a slicker surface. It ended up perfect.

After the paint was dry, I flipped over the board, and decided to stencil a Checkers and Tic Tac Toe game on the other side using these two stencils.

Both designs were stenciled in Fusion's Ash.

Stenciling a Checkers game board from this stencil is very easy!

• Stencil the image until it measures 8 squares x 8 squares.

• Overlap the stencil once again to fill in the empty squares, and you are done!

Let's build a puzzle!

Oh my goodness, this painted bulletin board works SO well! I love that you can carry it around, as the frame holds everything intact. And the puzzle looks so sharp against that deep ash tone!

I also used random kitchen pans and another small bulletin board to help organize the puzzle pieces as I build. SO fun!

It's such a clean, neutral look with all the images stenciled in Ash. And the cute scrap wood game pieces blend right in!
