Plant ID?
There used to be a website whereby you could submit a picture of plant and it would be identified. Does anybody know what that website is. A friend is trying to identify a TALL stalk that could be a corn stalk, but there are no ears or flowers
This is an app that you can download onto your phone. You take a picture of the plant and submit it for identification. Hope it is helpful to you!

Plant ID websites | Identify that Plant
I know that there are several plant ID apps for your phone. I don't know if they have communities attached to ask question or if they're simply a snap a photo app. Might be worth a shot.
Try plantsnap. It's an app.
Besides the normal root system Corn stalks have thin roots that are mostly above ground. They're called Angels Toes. No flowers on corn.
Hello, for the best local professional advice
I would highly suggest contacting your cooperative extension. These offices are manned by volunteer master gardeners on site there waiting to answer the communities questions that know your local situation quite well.
Master gardeners are required to volunteer back designated hours ( plus continuing education) each year to maintain MG certification -this community outreach and education is their goal.
If your office is closed....there Might be alternative online venues like Ask an Expert as well as emailing your local master gardeners extension office for their ID guidance.... in a non contact manner. Our office has shipped out plant specimens to the university when we could not clearly identify it.
If you look up plant identifier in the apps, you will get a bunch of apps that can help you.
Plant snap is one
Thank you everyone for taking the time to answer. Have a good week-end,
