DIY Farmhouse Mini Stacked Books

I’ve been seeing these Farmhouse Mini Stacked Books everywhere lately and I thought I’d experiment with making my own for a lot less. Today I’m sharing a tutorial on how to easily create your own.

These mini books make the perfect filler for tiered trays or are cute as decor around the house.

Since it is the Spring, I decide to make my Farmhouse Mini Stacked Books have a Spring theme. There are so many different phrases you could put on them. I did ‘Fresh Cut Flowers’ and ‘Love Grows Here’.

Here are some other ideas:

Faith / Hope / Love

The supplies for this project are pretty straight forward:

Sponge Brush

Acrylic Paint

Wood Glue

Wood (1″x 4″ slat of wood- CUT TO 6″ length pieces)

Baker’s Twine

Vinyl

First, you’ll want to paint your pieces of wood. I did about 3 coats on the white pieces and 2 coats on the pink.

Then, glue the wood pieces together with your wood glue. I would let them dry overnight.

Now, if you have a Cricut or Silhouette, this part will be a breeze. Otherwise, Hobby Lobby or various craft stores have stamping letters you can use instead. In Cricut Canvas, layout your phrases in the Typewriter font (or something similar). Be sure to measure your wood, so your lettering fits on it exactly and there isn’t any overlap.

I printed out my phrases on black vinyl on my Cricut.

Next, you’ll want to transfer the letters over to transfer paper and then adhere them to the wood.

Next, tie your bundles together with some bakers twine.

Now, place them on your tiered tray or around the house… you could even gift them! Aren’t these the cutest? I may have to make new ones for every season!
