  • It depends on the surface. On wood, you may have to sand out the scratches and refinish.

      It sounds like it is in the fabric based on your reply. I don't know how to repair or paint fabric.If the scratches are in the wood, just sand smooth and paint.

    Hi where are your cat scratches? My cat destroyed our basement stairs and I used corner moulding and nailed it from the top to the bottom of the stairs along the edges and no more scratches.

    It will depend on what the cat scratched. For wood, try rubbing a walnut "meat" on them.
