Wondering how to rebloom theses carnations in garden and where to trim it?
Care for carnations
Just deadhead the blooms when spent. Needs some direct sun every day. I am in zone 9b and it was 101° today, mine only get morning sun otherwise they can get sunburnt. The link above will explain in further detail. Very easy to grow!
Cut the spent flowers off the carnation once it has finished blooming, making each cut just above a leaf node or stem junction. Shearing off the old flowers can encourage repeat blooming.
I love that carnations are making a comeback! https://www.ftd.com/blog/design/growing-carnations
Cut the flower off and it should start regrowing, as long as its watered.
Thank you for all of the great suggestions
