Hi there, if you use an oil based primer it shoulder stop the bleed of anything that would come through it. First off clean the cabinets thoroughly with TSP (more info here: https://weekendcraft.com/diy/how-to-clean-your-kitchen-cabinets-with-tsp/) Than lightly hand sand them before applying at least two coats of primer and then painting and then sealing. Should do the trick!
To add to the tips above, make sure to number all doors and drawers when you remove them. Put all hardware in a sealed container so you don't lose them. I would highly recommend Sherwin Williams for cabinet paint.
