You can sand over the paint
This is a two part system. A chemical reaction takes place! The system should be available in a good paint shop or maybe craft shop. Hope that helps.
Hi Mary, this might help you:
Do you mean with crackle paint? I used crackle paint with a project here and loved how it turned out: https://happydealhappyday.com/pinecone-topiary-white-crackle-texture-paint/
I have used both school glue & Hyde glue methods.
Hyde glue you let dry overnight & then paint.
School glue you paint on top of it, wet.
Both methods you cannot overwork the paint and you must work fast
There is a paint that you apply to surface of your cabinet to achieve that effect .Check that pin https://www.pinterest.com/pin/23573598028832828/
School glue works best.
