I have a 80's China cabinet that needs updates
Glass doors two pieces in real need if updates,
Paint the wood like cream. Maybe use chalk paint and add a distressed finish. Paint the inside too. Then swap out the knobs and see how that looks.
Here are several ideas, some are really pretty!
and here's one similar to yours
Oil prime have paint tinted to desire color..Then paint with latex paint..Step one would be a quick sand be sure too wipe it done before priming
I would paint it gray and take the doors right off and replace the china dolls with some cute farmhouse items or antique pieces.
You could chalk paint it
Would you still like to use it to store dishes/display decorative items? or
Are you looking for ideas as to how you might repurpose it?
wow beautiful cabinet! It all depends what is your desire ... I do see it a color changed and some paper decoupage in the background
Paint it white, inside and out. Take the doors off, or leave them on,and replace the glass with chicken wire. Farmhouse it.

I would repaint it a pretty color like turquoise. https://www.simplenaturedecorblog.com/17-brilliant-diy-ideas-in-turquoise/
You could paint it with milk paint from General Finishes. I painted my oak kitchen cabinets with milk paint, and they look great: https://momhomeguide.com/best-way-paint-kitchen-cabinets/
You could also remove the doors to the cabinet. This is a good tutorial: https://threecoatsofcharm.com/update-a-hutch-by-removing-the-doors/
You could also paint it with chalk paint and do a brighter contrasting accent paint color in the interior. Even add some LED strip lights inside to accent your glassware and pottery. https://www.pinterest.com/search/pins/?q=update%20china%20cabinet%20with%20chalk%20paint&rs=typed&term_meta=update%20china%20cabinet%20with%20chalk%20paint%7Ctyped
You could paint it a new color and use window film for the glass.
