Cut Up Plastic Adirondack to Dispose

One of my Adirondack chairs just broke. (I sat on it and a piece broke off and the seat sank down.) I also have two older plastic Adirondack chairs - that I had taken from the curb, not realizing they were broken - that I need to cut up so I can dispose them. (Otherwise my town won’t take them.) What can I use to cut up a plastic Adirondack chair? I have the piece that broke off - I doubt it would be safe to glue it back together.
