Barnwood and Twine Shelves
This easy DIY can be made with a bit of twine and scrap wood!
Cut your wood pieces to the desired length
I did 18 inches for my shelves. You could do varying lengths and make a grouping of shelves if you’d like!
Measure in 1.5” from each corner and drill a hole with your drill bit. You’ll end up with four holes.
Here is what the four holes should look like
Thread twine through the holes
Cut two pieces of twine at about 30” each.
Thread one end of a piece of twine through each hole so that the bottom of the shelf looks like this.
Tie the knots
Pull the string taught and even, then tie the ends of each piece together in a knot.
*Keep your knot loose so you can adjust when for level when hanging the shelf.
Add your decor!
Hang at the desired height and add your decor!
*Keep in mind these are lightweight when choosing your decor to hang. You could always swap out that twine for a heavier duty rope if you’d like to use these for heavier items.
