Here's something cute a friend of mine did.

They are great for stuffing inside your shoes to keep the toe and top in very good condition. Nowadays I fold and stuff one roll with 2 to 3 extra rolls because the rolls themselves are now so darn flimsy. My 30 year old ones are still going strong but the thickness was much better then. I used paper towel ones for boots but nowadays I would just roll up newspaper and tape it closed to keep the boot shape as I no longer use paper towels. Cheers
