Need tips on stripping the paint off a metal bench?
Stripping seems to work well on arms and legs but not on the seat and back of the bench where it is being very resistant to the stripper.

Hello. We often use an orbital sander on our metal furniture to remove that chippy failing eyesore finished before refurbishment.
A wire wheel mounted in a drill can get hard areas. It sounds like the old paint solid. Maybe clean and just paint over it. Use a spray paint .
Are you using Kleen Strip? It's the strongest. Of course you can just sand using a grinding wheel attachment or sand paper for metal with a hand sander.
Wagner heat gun or Citristrip both work well.
I've had good luck with Citristrip.
