How do I make a water fountain ?

I am enrolled in a welding class next month and want to try and make a water feature/ fountain for my yard? Any help, tips would be appreciated thanks 😊

    You need a pump that has enough head to lift the water to the top. Other than that, run plastic pipe up through your metal tube(s) and be able to throttle the flow rate (globe valve on pump discharge. Water should cascade down into the pit holding the pump. Ensure you can get to the pump later. Removable screen with river rocks makes an attractive base.

    It will need water ran to it and a pump added but is a beautiful piece. i'm a noob on welding who has to do a lot of grinding, a serious reader with too many books including one on water features for yards. I prefer working wood and having a hundred or so projects as a quilter of castles and dragons. I also have the same solar angel pictured and love it, a gift from my mom. I'm also a 3 year sculpture and metal and jewelry making student and just love making things. Good luck on project.

    There would be lots of tutorials on you tube. Look until you find one that suits your capabilities. Have fun.

    Hi Jennifer, you can make a fountain from anything, you just need a pump and hose. Here's a basic idea, but with flex hose you can do just about anything, the pumps are rated on how many gallons per hour and you can get very large ones with good lift
